Brazil Coffee | Pure Origin Brazil
Whole Bean, Ground, or Capsules Compatible with Nespresso.
The Brazilian climate seems tailor-made for coffee cultivation. Brazilian coffee is recognized worldwide and in high demand.

What Characteristics Does Brazil Coffee Have?
Brazil’s unique origins are not just suitable for coffee cultivation—they produce distinctive coffees of high quality. The beans typically possess an intense sweetness with notes of caramel and chocolate, a full body, and relatively low acidity.

This low acidity is sometimes why people underestimate the quality of a Brazilian cup. However, take a second sip, and you will find that this flavor profile is surprisingly good.

Types of Beans Produced

  • Catuai: Red and yellow cherries that are the most mature, and therefore the sweetest.

  • Mundo Novo: A heavier bean with low acidity and sweet notes.

  • Obata: Softer characteristics with floral and honey-like tones during the natural drying process.

  • Icatu: A hybrid with robusta, known for its distinctive flavors of cocoa, maple, and malt.

Why is Brazilian Coffee So In-Demand?
Brazil provides rich soil and a warm, humid climate ideal for coffee plants. The country produces both Arabica and Robusta beans, with Arabica being the dominant variety, mostly processed through the dry method. Robusta beans are used in instant coffee and are generally considered lower quality.

Brazil produces around 80% Arabica coffee in its southern regions, with high-quality beans cultivated in the higher altitudes. Brazilian coffee plants bloom three times a year, and the beans are harvested shortly after. The beans are sorted by quality to create the best blends. The coffee sold in our store is 100% Arabica.

Brazilian Coffee Production
Brazil has 14 different regions where coffee is produced. With so many coffee-producing areas, there is a wide variety of experimental crops of traditional and new coffee beans. Most Brazilian coffee is natural or semi-washed, meaning the coffee cherries dry as they are collected (without removing the skin). Natural processing adds smoothness and sweetness to the coffee beans.
